Mr. Williams co-founded Harris Williams & Co. in 1991 as a national investment banking firm focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Since that time he has led Harris Williams & Co. to become one of the largest and most influential mergers and acquisitions boutiques in the country. Mr. Williams has nearly 25 years of transactional experience focused on middle-market mergers and acquisitions assignments. Having completed over 200 mergers and acquisitions or capital raising activities, Mr. Williams has worked in several industries including business services, specialty distribution, health care, and advanced manufacturing.
Prior to co-founding Harris Williams & Co., Mr. Williams was with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co.
Mr. Williams earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University. Current board positions include the Board of Governors at St. Catherine's School; Board of Williams School of Commerce at Washington and Lee University; Elk Hill School for troubled youth; Boys and Girls Club of Richmond; and The Community Foundation, serving charitable organizations throughout the state. Mr. Williams lives in Richmond with his wife and three children.
