Mr. Bistrong founded and heads the firm’s Technology, Media, and Telecom Group, and his banking career spans more than two decades at Harris Williams & Co., Robertson Stephens, Tucker Anthony, and BancBoston Securities. He has led M&A advisory assignments for software, SaaS, IT services, Internet, digital media, telecommunications, semiconductor, and technology hardware companies, and in verticals including healthcare IT, financial technology, energy and power, and transportation and logistics. Mr. Bistrong has extensive cross-border transaction experience in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Early in his career, Mr. Bistrong was a member of the multinational banking group and the automotive industry portfolio manager at BankBoston.  He earned dual M.B.A. and M.A. Asian Studies degrees from the University of Michigan and a B.A. degree in Government from Colby College.

Mr. Bistrong chairs the IT Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of Northeast Health System, a multi-hospital health system, and previously served on the board of MTel, Ltd., a HKSE-listed mobile multimedia company.  He lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.
