Mr. Perkins joined Harris Williams & Co. from Daiwa Corporate Advisory GmbH (formerly Close Brothers Germany) where he led cross-border and international M&A activities. He helped establish their Frankfurt office in 1998 and was responsible for all U.S. business going into and out of German speaking markets. Mr. Perkins has advised on more than 75 transactions including sell-side (healthy and distressed), buy-side, public takeover, pre-IPO, and restructuring mandates. His experience spans numerous industries such as automotive, flow control, energy and power, electronic equipment, capital goods, among others. He has advised on more than 30 cross-border M&A transactions involving Asian, European, and U.S. companies. While at Close Brothers, he established and led their European Automotive and Flow Control Groups and managed their eight person German Industrials team.
Prior to Close Brothers, Mr. Perkins worked four years in the Corporate Finance department at Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt and more than three years in Charlotte, NC for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, a division of the U.S. Treasury Department.
Mr. Perkins has a Bachelor of Science degree in Multinational Business Operations with a focus on Finance and a Minor in German from Florida State University. Mr. Perkins is a U.S. citizen who has lived in Germany for more than 20 years. He is married and has a daughter.
