Mr. Bistrong founded and runs the Technology Group at Harris Williams & Co. and has provided M&A advisory and arranged debt and equity capital for a wide range of public, private, and private equity portfolio companies since 1987. Previous experience includes senior banker positions in: Mergers & Acquisitions at Robertson Stephens; Telecommunications Investment Banking at Tucker Anthony Sutro (now RBC Capital Markets); and both Media & Communications and Emerging Markets Investment Banking at BancBoston Securities (now Banc of America Securities). He has advised companies in various sectors including business services, communications, energy, advanced manufacturing, media, software, and electronic hardware. Prior to focusing on technology and technology-enabled companies in 1993, Mr. Bistrong established the automotive industry specialization at Bank of Boston, where he was the OEM relationship manager and global automotive industry portfolio manager. Mr. Bistrong has extensive cross-border transaction experience in Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Mr. Bistrong earned joint M.B.A. and M.A. Asian Studies degrees from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Government from Colby College. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Northeast Health Corporation, a multi-hospital acute and behavioral health system. He lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA.
