Geoffrey S. Frankel
Mr. Frankel leads the firm's restructuring advisory practice. He has over 20 years of experience advising troubled companies and their creditor and equity-holder constituencies in mergers and acquisitions, financings, corporate reorganizations, debt and equity restructurings, and complex valuations. During his investment banking career, Mr. Frankel has advised businesses across a variety of industry segments, with particular emphasis on industrial/manufacturing, metals, retail and consumer, and business services.
Prior to joining Harris Williams & Co., Mr. Frankel led the restructuring advisory practice for National City Capital Market's Cleveland office. Mr. Frankel began his investment banking career with McDonald & Company, where he established and led the firm's restructuring advisory group and had also founded a boutique Midwestern investment banking and private equity firm focused on distressed investment and advisory opportunities. He began his career in New York City as a restructuring lawyer, where he advised clients on complex, national and international Chapter 11 reorganizations, and distressed M&A transactions.
Mr. Frankel earned a J.D. with Highest Honors from George Washington University National Law Center and a B.A. in Economics and History from University of Pennsylvania.
