Mr. Lawson has over thirteen years of sellside and buyside financial experience, including over ten years of dedicated public and private M&A experience spanning buyside and sellside transactions, LBOs, going private transactions, joint ventures, cross border transactions, and fairness opinions. He has worked across a wide array of industries including branded consumer products, retail/restaurants, business services, general industrial, energy, healthcare and technology. Prior to joining Harris Williams, Mr. Lawson served as a Principal in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Banc of America Securities. He also served in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Bear Stearns in New York. Previous experience also includes serving as a securities analyst at Fidelity Investments and as an investment professional at Stonebridge Associates, a merchant bank.
Mr. Lawson holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Tufts University. He also holds the CFA designation and sits on the Board of Directors of aha! Chinese, Inc., a branded educational products provider. Mr. Lawson lives in the San Francisco Bay area with his wife and two young daughters.
