Mr. Smith is a Vice President in Harris Williams & Co.'s Healthcare & Life Sciences group. Mr. Smith has advised both public and private companies in merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions in a variety of industries including healthcare, consumer products, building products, paper and packaging, and minerals and mining. Mr. Smith's healthcare experience includes working with companies in the medical products, dental care, diagnostic imaging, institutional pharmacy, and outsourced services segments. Previous experience includes work as an Associate in the Global Equity Research Group at Putnam Investments and as a Consultant in the Strategy Practice at Kurt Salmon Associates, a retail, consumer products, and health care-focused consulting firm.
Mr. Smith earned an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.B.A in Finance, magna cum laude, from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He lives in Richmond with his wife and three daughters.
