Harris Williams & Co. Advises Graham-White Manufacturing Company, Inc. in its Pending Sale to International Buyer Faiveley Transport S.A.

Harris Williams & Co., a preeminent middle market investment bank focused on the advisory needs of clients worldwide, announces that Graham-White Manufacturing Company, Inc. (Graham-White), a leading designer and manufacturer of compressed air drying technology and brake components mainly for locomotives and rail transit markets, has entered into an agreement to sell a controlling interest to international strategic buyer Faiveley Transport S.A. (Faiveley; ENXTPA:LEY). The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2012 and is being led from the firm’s Richmond office.  Harris Williams & Co. is acting as the exclusive advisor to Graham-White.

Graham-White employs 300 people and operates six facilities across the United States, with a central manufacturing facility located in Salem, VA. With 98 years of experience in the railway industry, Graham-White supplies a wide range of high-quality, engineered components such as air dryers, compressed air valves and parking brakes.

Faiveley, based in Paris, France, is a leading global supplier of on-board railway systems. The company offers a complete scope of vehicle sub-systems including onboard and platform screen doors, pantographs, air-conditioning solutions, onboard electronics, brakes and coupler systems and global customer services. Through their extended worldwide network, Faiveley partners with customers throughout their international development. Faiveley enables its customers to provide local competencies in engineering, production and after-sales service.
