January 6, 2016

Harris Williams & Co., a preeminent middle market investment bank focused on the advisory needs of clients worldwide, announces the sale of Baarsma Wine Group Business to Consumer B.V. (Baarsma B2C), a leading European eCommerce wine retailer, to Gilde Equity Management Benelux (GEM). Harris Williams & Co. acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Baarsma B2C, which has been carved out from Baarsma Wine Group Holding B.V. (Baarsma Wine Group), a portfolio company of AAC Capital Partners (AAC). The transaction was led by Thierry Monjauze, Alex Murrill and Danielius Uznys of Harris Williams & Co.’s London office.

“We were delighted to work with the management of Baarsma B2C and AAC on the transaction. The management team and AAC have built the acknowledged pioneer and leader of eCommerce wine retail across all market segments in Europe,” said Thierry Monjauze, a managing director in Harris Williams & Co.’s Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group. “The sale of Baarsma B2C is representative of Harris Williams & Co.’s strong and growing presence in the Benelux market, following the successful sales of AR Metallizing and IS Group in the last 6 months.”
