Mr. Armstrong was Harris Williams' second employee, joining the firm in 1993. In 1999, Mr. Armstrong founded the San Francisco office and has over 25 years of transactional experience focused in middle market mergers and acquisitions assignments. Having directed over 150 mergers and acquisitions transactions during his career, Mr. Armstrong has worked extensively in several industries including energy and power, industrial manufacturing and services, business services, consumer products, specialty chemicals, technology, and specialty value-add distribution. Mr. Armstrong manages the deal origination of Harris Williams’ ten industry practice areas.
Prior to joining Harris Williams, Mr. Armstrong was with Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wells Fargo). He earned a B.S. with a concentration in Finance from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Armstrong is the Treasurer and a Director for The Richmond Ballet and a Director for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation. He is also on the board of Little Sisters of the Poor. Mr. Armstrong lives in Richmond with his wife and three children.
